On Tuesday, September 6th we will be adding Doug Clarke as our guitarist. Doug has performed with our group for some Park Avenue outdoor concerts and also was a featured performer at the Certosa Festival both times in Capri.  He is an excellent guitarist and I am looking forward to playing with him that evening.

The featured Artist for Sept. 6th will be Dr. Chris Washburne who is the director of the jazz program at Columbia University and an excellent trombonist. He has a vast background as a superb teacher and outstanding jazz musician. We are looking forward to playing with him.

The performance on Tuesday evening, August 16th, included Ted Nash on Alto

Gary Mazzaroppi, Bass-James Chirillo Guitar-Cenzo Celenza-Drums,and of course

me on Clarinet. Ted was, as usual, amazing and the band swung so hard there literally

was dancing in the aisles (with no bobby soxers in sight). We have been enjoying a packed

house with all the recent appearances and are looking forward to having Chris Wasburne,

a superb trombonist, with us on September 6th to start the fall semester off right.
